Training

The Department will be offering provider trainings to help providers understand the new rules, how the changes will be implemented, the impact the new rules will have on licensed facilities, and to offer technical assistance to help facilities comply with the rules.

Scheduled Trainings

New Provider Orientation

The Bureau is pleased to announce the 2014 schedule for New Provider Orientation. This training is tailored for those interested in opening an Assisted Living facility. Pre-registration and an initial license application are required to attend. You can download the necessary application forms on our Residential Facilities Licensing Forms page.

New Provider Orientation will be held in the Phoenix office at 150 N. 18th Ave., 4th floor training room, Phoenix, AZ 85007 on the second Wednesday of each odd-numbered month; registration begins at 8:00 AM and the class is held from 8:30 AM - 12 Noon. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Walk-ins will only be admitted if there is space available.There is free parking in the parking garage to the east of our building, at 151 N. 18th Ave.

New Provider Orientation will be held in the Phoenix office on May 14, July 9, September 10, and November 12. To register, please call our office at 602-364-2939. Space is limited, so please register early.

New Provider Orientation will be also be held in the Tucson office at 400 W. Congress St., Suite 116, Tucson, AZ 85701 on a quarterly basis; again, registration begins at 8:00 AM and the class is held from 8:30 AM - 12 Noon. New Provider Orientation in the Tucson office will be held on July 15 and October 14. Please call the Tucson office at 520-628-6965 to register.

This training discussed the new rules for Behavioral Health Residential Facilities. This new licensing category consists of what used to be Level 2, 3 and 4 Behavioral Health Residential Facilities.
