The Department will be offering provider trainings to help providers understand the new rules, how the changes will be implemented, the impact the new rules will have on licensed facilities, and to offer technical assistance to help facilities comply with the rules.

The Basics of Residential Licensing

This class is intended for people who may be interested in becoming licensed as Residential Facilities providers, but who may not have decided specifically what type of facility they want to have, those who need more information about the types of facilities BRFL licenses, and who need instruction in how to fill out an initial application for licensure.
The Basics of Residential Licensing will be held every other month, on the second Wednesday of each odd-numbered month in the Phoenix office (150 N. 18th Ave., Phoenix), from 8 AM – 12 noon. These classes fill up quickly, so pre-registration is required.

The New Provider Orientation session schedule for 2015 is provided below. This training is tailored for those interested in opening a Residential Facility.
The New Provider Orientation: Training sessions will be held in the Phoenix office at 150 N. 18th Ave, 4th floor training room, Phoenix, AZ 85007, on June 9, 2015. To register, please call our office at 602-364-2639. Only persons who have submitted an application for licensure as a Residential Facility may attend New Provider Orientation. Space is limited, so please register early. Sign-in begins at 8:00 AM and the class is held from 8:30 AM - 12 Noon. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Walk-ins will only be admitted if there is space available. There is free parking in the parking garage to the east of our building, at 151 N. 18th Ave.
A session will also be held in the Tucson office at 400 W. Congress St., Suite 116, Tucson, AZ, 85701, on October 14. Sign-in begins at 8:00 AM and the class is held from 8:30 AM - 12 Noon. Please call the Tucson office at 520-628-6965 to register.
