The Division of Licensing Services, Office of Special Licensing (OSL) licenses and regulates individual hearing aid dispensers, audiologists, speech-language pathologists and midwives.
The OSL also licenses and regulates hearing aid dispensing organizations and conducts inspections to license group homes for the developmentally disabled.
The OSL conducts architectural reviews to ensure minimum compliance with applicable codes and standards for the physical structures of assisted living, medical, long-term care and child care facilities, and performs Life Safety Code inspections as an adjunct part of facility licensing processes.
