Public Health Licensing Services is focused on improving the health and safety of Arizonans. Trainings, exercises and collaboratives are an opportunity to network with our partners, address health and safety issues, provide technical assistance, learn innovative ideas and best practices.

New Rules Trainings Offered May – August, 2014

The Arizona Department of Health Services would like to announce the availability of trainings during May, June, July and August of 2014. These trainings will provide information about the new Healthcare Institution rules. The specific training dates and times are as follows:

Article 7, Article 16 and Article 18 – Behavioral Health Residential Facilities

The Bureau of Residential Facilities Licensing conducted trainings to assist providers in understanding the changes in Articles 1, 7, 16 and 18 from October 2013 to July 2014. The training was a broad overview of the changes, it discussed implementation of the rules, and was to help facilities come into compliance.

Article 8 and Article 11– Assisted Living Residential Facilities

  • August 6, 2014, 9AM to Noon
  • August 19, 2014, 1PM – 4PM
  • August 26, 2014, 9AM – Noon

Article 10 – Outpatient Treatment Centers doing Dialysis

  • August 28, 2014, 1PM – 4PM - CANCELLED

Article 10 – Outpatient Treatment Centers without Behavioral Health

  • August 22, 2014, 1PM – 4PM

Article 10 – Outpatient Treatment Centers with Behavioral Health Services

  • August 29, 2014, 1PM – 4PM

To attend available trainings, you must register online. You will have to register separately for each training you attend. The trainings will be held at the Arizona Department of Health Services office located in Phoenix at 150 N. 18th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85041 or at the Department of Health Services office in Tucson (only if specified) at 400 W. Congress, Suite 100, Tucson, AZ 85701. Please be aware that trainings have a limited capacity, and will be available only until filled. Please limit the attendees from your facility as the Phoenix capacity is 45 and the Tucson capacity is 75.Please register as soon as possible to assure that you are able to attend the training of your choice.
