The Quality Resource
Management Department (QRM) performs a variety of functions within the
Hospital. Among these are oversight of the quality and appropriateness of care
provided at the Hospital through the Performance Improvement and Utilization
Management processes.
Each department and treatment program identifies areas for improvement every
year and provides the Performance Improvement Director with quarterly reports
on their progress. The Utilization Manager reviews all admissions for
appropriateness and verifies the need for continued stay at the Hospital. This
person also evaluates the necessity and quality of care provided to our
patients by outside contracted services, such as community hospitals.
