Number of Air and Ground Ambulances

There are total of 828 ground ambulances operated by Certificate of Necessity holders around the State. This breaks down to 398 in the Central Region of the State; 117 in the Northern Region; 219 in the Southeastern Region and 94 in the Western Regions. There are 19 licensed Air Ambulances which break down by regional bases to reflect 56 in the Northern Region, 56 in the Southeastern Region and in the Central region there are 3 Air Ambulance bases.
