Under the
direction of the Medical Director and Assistant Medical
Director, the Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of
Behavioral Health Services (ADHS/DBHS) has researched and published several best practices
documents (also referred to as clinical guidance documents) to assist behavioral health providers in Arizona’s
public behavioral health system. These documents are known as Clinical
and Recovery Practice Protocols.
Clinical Practice
Guidelines are existing national standards (e.g., APA) that help ensure
appropriate clinical practice and positive outcomes.
