The Office of Monitoring and Oversight in alignment with the Division of Behavioral Services, Office of Quality Management, collaborates with all Tribal and Regional Behavioral Health Authorities in supporting the Behavioral Healthcare in Arizona by providing leadership, guidance, administrative, clinical, and technical expertise.

As required by the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 (BBA) and the federal Medicaid managed care regulations (42 CFR Chapter 438), the Office of Monitoring and Oversight conducts quarterly reviews to evaluate compliance with the standards.
