The FIT at Fifty HealthCheck and Well Woman HealthCheck are state-wide programs that provide eligible men with free colon cancer screening and women with free colon, breast, and cervical cancer screening. The HealthCheck Programs are part of the Bureau of Health Systems Development, operated by the Arizona Department of Health Services, through cooperative agreements with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
These decentralized programs provide free cancer screening services through program contractors which include several county health departments, community health centers, and federally qualified health centers located throughout Arizona.
The Well Woman HealthCheck Program, the Fit at Fifty HealthCheck Program, and the Arizona Cancer Control Program are supported in part under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Cooperative Agreement #5U58DP000796 through the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, the Colorectal Cancer Control Program, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program.
