Cancer Treatment Programs

Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program (BCCTP)

The BCCTP is part of Arizona's Medicaid program, AHCCCS, and is for women who need treatment for breast cancer, cervical cancer, or a pre-cancerous cervical lesion. Please note that if you are diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer outside of the Well Women HealthCheck Program, you are NOT eligible for the BCCTP.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You MUST be diagnosed through the Well Women HealthCheck Program as having breast cancer, cervical cancer or a pre-cancerous cervical lesion
  • Be under age 65
  • Provide a verifiable Social Security Number
  • Be a resident of Arizona
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or a non-citizen qualified to receive Medicaid
  • Meet the financial eligibility requirements for the WWHP
  • Be uninsured or have insurance that does not cover the treatment of breast and/or cervical cancer
    • You may also qualify if you are insured but your insurance excludes cancer treatment as a pre-existing condition, OR
    • You have exhausted the lifetime limit for all benefits under your insurance plan including breast or cervical cancer treatment
  • You must not be eligible for AHCCCS Health Insurance under any other Medicaid group
    • If you are eligible for AHCCCS Health Insurance under another group, you must be approved under that program.

Application Process:

If you are diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer through the Well Women HealthCheck Program, your patient navigator will refer you for treatment through the BCCTP. Your patient navigator will complete and submit this applicationPDF to the Well Woman HealthCheck Program. It will be reviewed and, when complete, submitted to the BCCTP to officially enroll you in the program.

Komen Community Grants

Women who do not qualify for the Well Woman HealthCheck Program may be eligible for screening or treatment through one of Susan G Komen for the Cure, Phoenix or Southern Arizona affiliate's community grant recipients. Please visit the Komen Phoenix affiliate or Southern Arizona affiliate website for more information on additional screening and treatment programs.

Undy 5000

Colon Cancer Alliance

The Phoenix Undy 5000 5K is an annual fundraising event for the Colon Cancer Alliance of Arizona. A large portion of the funds raised through the race go directly to the FIT at Fifty HealthCheck Program to provide treatment to patients diagnosed with colon cancer through the FFHP. Please talk with the FFHP patient navigator at the facility nearest you for more information on treatment through this funding source.

Other Financial Support Programs
