National Health Service Corps HPSA Score Freeze
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) implemented a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) score freeze on June 1, 2012. Any HPSA scores and designations updated since then have not been reflected in the NHSC system and were not used for the 2012 Loan Repayment Award Cycle. NHSC will refresh and re-freeze their system with HPSA scores on January 1, 2013. All HPSA designations and scores current as of that date will be used for the 2013 NHSC Loan Repayment Award Cycle
