Arizona J-1 Visa Waiver Program
Eligibility Requirements – Hospitalists
The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) J-1 Visa Waiver Program supports waivers for J-1 physicians practicing or ready to practice as "Hospitalists" in federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA), Medically Underserved Areas or Populations (MUA/P).
The ADHS defines "Hospitalists" as J-1 physicians who practice Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, or Pediatrics in a hospital and does not limit the practice to a subspecialty.
