The Bureau of State Laboratory Services exists for the protection of the health of all Arizonans. Laboratory analyses are provided to identify and investigate infectious and communicable diseases including newly emergent pathogens. We also investigate a variety of chemical and microbiological contaminants in the efforts to monitor and reduce these sources of contamination.
We partner with multiple teams including the Arizona Epidemiology and Disease Control and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to investigate and protect the health of the entire community. We also work with our local, state, and federal partners to improve the Arizona Laboratory System.
