The
Arizona State Laboratory Environmental Microbiology Department conducts
microbiological examinations of food and water for sanitary quality and
isolation and identification of microorganisms of public health significance.
Sanitarians and representatives of federal, state, county, and city agencies
responsible for monitoring quality and enforcing regulations governing
production and handling of food and water may submit samples for analysis.
Private individuals or agencies requesting testing will be referred to their
county health department or private laboratories. Please contact the
laboratory for information and referrals.
