Dispensaries
- Hundreds of dispensary registration certificate applications came in during the application period. ADHS anticipates awarding certificates in early August 2012.
- More than 25 people testified at the public comment session about adding debilitating conditions. You can watch the sessions if you missed them. We will also post the comments we received from the online tool as soon as possible. A decision on adding conditions is expected in July 2012.
Updated Information about the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act
The final revised Arizona Medical Marijuana Rules have been approved by the Attorney General's Office and filed with the Secretary of State. The Arizona Department of Health Services accepted hundreds of applications during the May, 2012 timeframe. The staff is evaluating the applications and registration certificates will be awarded in August, 2012.

Approval to Operate Application
At least 60 days before the expiration date of a dispensary registration certificate, an entity holding a registration certificate shall apply for and obtain an approval to operate a dispensary from the Department before operating. Keep in mind that an application for approval to operate a dispensary is not complete until the Department receives written notice that the dispensary is ready for an inspection.
