Arizona Department of Health Services Director Susan Gerard today announced the state has expanded public access to important data on child care and assisted living centers, nursing homes, hospitals and other health care facilities.
The Health Department is now posting on its web site, www.azdhs.gov, expanded quality of care information specific to enforcement actions taken against facilities by the department’s Division of Licensing Services.
“We are committed to providing Arizonans as much information as possible so they can make informed choices about where they place their loved ones for care,” Gerard said. “The new and expanded information we are now providing through our web site will give residents more information as they make important health care decisions.”
The web site lists additional information about enforcement actions taken against facilities for rule violations. Consumers, residents, families and others can now find not only the amount of fines levied against facilities, but information pertaining to the reasons for the fines.
Records may be searched by provider/licensee name, location, and provider type. The database is updated quarterly.
