Governor Janet Napolitano will stress the importance of immunizations Thursday during a visit to a Maricopa County immunization clinic.

“Immunizations are a very safe and effective way to keep Arizona’s children safe, healthy and in school,” the Governor said. “Immunizations prevent dangerous diseases, some of which cannot be cured.”

WHERE: Maricopa County Public Health Roosevelt Clinic, 1645 E. Roosevelt (across from Ranch Market)

WHEN: 9:15 a.m. Thursday, August 17

WHY: This is the time of year to make sure immunizations are up to date for children entering school – from kindergarten to high school. Also, there will be great visuals of Governor Napolitano interacting with children, parents, and nurses.
