Health Care Institutions (HCI) Licensing Rulemaking (Exempt)
The current rules for the licensing of health care institutions (HCI) are in Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) Title 9, Chapter 10. As part of implementing Laws 2011, Chapter 96, the Department has amended the rules and has filed a Notice of Exempt Rulemaking for the licensing of HCIs in 9 A.A.C. 10, effective October 1, 2013.
Laws 2013, Chapter 10 provides exempt rulemaking authority until April 30, 2014, for the Department to adopt revised rules regarding HCIs. The Department is providing an online survey (below) and will be accepting written feedback related to the implementation of the October 1st rules until January 30, 2014. The Department will revise HCI rules based on feedback received.

The Department has begun revising the rules in 9 A.A.C. 10 to comply with Laws 2013, Chapter 10. As drafts are completed they will be posted below.
