Arizona's
Pandemic Readiness Conference
Governor Napolitano
and ADHS Director Susan Gerard, were
joined by U.S. Secretary
of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt, CDC Director Julie Gerberding and other
officials at
Arizona's Pandemic Readiness and Emergency Planning Conference on January 6, 2006.
More than 1000 representatives from business, schools, state and local government,
emergency responders, hospitals, nursing homes and others met
to discuss local, state and national preparations for an influenza pandemic.
