Family Health Services) is a vital component of the ADHS Division of Public
Health Services. Public Health Prevention provides
essential public health services to Arizona families and communities.

Office of the Deputy
Assistant Director of Public Health Prevention
This office is the administrative office for Public Health Prevention
and is located at 150 North 18th Avenue, 3rd Floor, Phoenix, Arizona. The

Office of Health Systems Development
The Office of Health Systems Development supports a variety of
programs and services meant to improve access to primary health care,
particularly for the uninsured and other vulnerable populations. This office
also manages Healthy Arizona 2010 and Healthy Aging projects--Arizona's Healthy
People initiatives.
Office of Women's and Children's
Health
The Office of Women's and
Children's Health supports efforts to improve the health of Arizona women
and children. Activities focus on assessment of health status and identification
of health issues, development of partnerships and planning to address health
issues, and provision of "safety net" services.
Office for
Children with Special Health Care Needs
The Office for
Children with Special Health Care Needs works through interagency teams to
create systems change to maximize health of children. Their mission is to
promote improvement in the health and quality of life for children with special
health care needs by building partnerships with families, communities, and care
providers.

Prevention & Nutrition Services
The Office of Chronic Disease Prevention & Nutrition Services
and its partners empowers Arizonans to achieve optimal health through a variety
of Nutrition and Disease Prevention and Control Services programs.
Office of Oral Health
The mission of the Office of Oral Health is to promote oral health for the
well-being of all Arizona residents. The three primary areas of focus
within the Office of Oral health are: (1) Prevention Programs, (2) Community
Development, and (3) Research and Analysis.
Office of
Tobacco Education and Prevention
The Office of
Tobacco Education and Prevention has the goal of preventing tobacco use
among Arizonans, especially children. Anyone
who wishes to quit using tobacco should have access to affordable, state-of-the-art cessation services. All
Arizonans should also be protected from environmental tobacco smoke.
