Project
The 24 Languages Project was founded in 2000 as a joint endeavor of
the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library and the Utah
Department of Health, to digitize translated consumer health
brochures for online access. The 24 Languages Project also provides
information in audio formats as well as PDF documents.

Series of documents on several topics to help health care

Tagalog, Ukranian, and Vietnamese. Each document contains
an English translation.

The MCH Library's online catalog, MCHLine®, includes materials for consumers
and professionals in numerous languages other than English, and the
Organizations Database identifies additional sources for these

Medical Leadership Council on Cultural Proficiency
Medical Leadership Council on Cultural Proficiency has unveiled a
database designed to assist physicians and others in providing
improved language access and culturally competent health care. With
more than 350 initial entries, the searchable, internet-based,
free-to-the-public database includes contact information for
interpreters, nonprofit organizations, hospitals, public health
departments and others that provide health information and services
in languages other than English. Users, including physicians,
nurses, social service workers, patients and
the general public, can search for listings by county, by language,
or by type of service. Services and materials address various
topics, including diabetes and nutrition, in languages ranging from
Arabic to Vietnamese.

This site contains patient information on a variety of health topics
in a variety of Asian languages. You can search the site by topic or
language.

Committee For Refugees and Immigrants Healthy Living Toolkit
Various Health Education Brochures are now available in Haitian
Creole, Farsi, Spanish, Swahili and Hmong, in addition to Arabic,
Vietnamese, English, Somali, Kirundi, Russian, Karen and Burmese.
French, Amharic, and Bosnian translations will be available soon.
The brochures are available to download free of charge. The topics
include HIV/AIDS Prevention and Stigma, STDs, Cold & Flu, TB, Stop
Smoking, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Obesity, Child Obesity, PAP Test,
and Mammograms, Menstrual Cycle, Patients Rights and Emergency Room.

Urbana-Champaign have translated some of patient information
handouts (13 topics) into eight languages that include: Arabic,

translations that contain a list of medical terms used by health
care providers and consumers available in English to Chinese,
