The U.S. department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has released a new
literacy tool for people who serve older adults.
The Quick Guide to Health Literacy & Older Adults is designed to provide useful strategies & suggestions to help bridge the
communication gap between'
professionals and older adults.
HHS has also published its
strategic plan for fiscal years 2007-2012. The plan provides an overview of HHS' priorities
& activities& highlights the role the Administration on Aging plays within the department.
Bringing the Arizona Aging & Public Health Networks Together:
Evidence-Based Health Promotion Programs for Older Adults was held on
September 29th and featured key note speaker Mary Altpeter PhD from the
University of North Carolina's Institute on Aging.

State Of Aging & Health in America 2007
By the CDC is a follow-up report to the 2004 version, a valuable report for
public health and aging professionals. This report contains data on 15 key
health indicators for older adults and provides a state by state report
