World AIDS Day is December 1st – There is a memorial that evening at Grace Lutheran Church. You’ll be able to see locally made panels for the NAMES Quilt. The Quilt was created in 1987 to provide a creative means for remembrance and healing to effectively illustrate the enormity of the AIDS pandemic, increase awareness of HIV and AIDS and educate the public on the prevention of HIV infection. While scientists have made great strides in helping those with AIDS survive longer, the spread of HIV continues in Arizona. Please help slow or stop the spread of HIV and AIDS. |

The Office of HIV, STD, and Hepatitis Services was established in 2007 by combining previously separate programs for HIV/AIDS Prevention, HIV/AIDS Care and Services, HIV/AIDS Epidemiology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Control, and Hepatitis within one administrative office. This new structure will enable ADHS to have a more comprehensive response to services provided in these three disease areas.
The modes of transmission of HIV, Hepatitis and STD’s are virtually identical, and epidemiologic data clearly demonstrate a link between HIV, Hepatitis , and STD transmission patterns. These programs are, therefore, more naturally conducive to integration of prevention, disease reporting and service delivery. Prior to integrating these programs, ADHS studied the historic patterns among reported cases of these diseases in Arizona and found very significant patterns of co-morbidity (See study ). A more integrated response among these disease programs will benefit the public health.
The form below should be used to report all cases of HIV/AIDS,
Hepatitis , and Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) including

sent to the county Health Department. For a complete list of
