Childhood Immunization Schedule
 
Immunizations should begin at birth and continue at these ages to protect children against 10 diseases. This is the immunization schedule as recommended by the ACIP, AAP and the AAFP:
 
Birth
     -Hepatitis B (Hep B)
  
2 Months
     -Hepatitis B (Hep B)
     -Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTaP)
     -Haemophilus Influenzae type b (Hib) 
     -Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV)
     -Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV)
 
4 months
    -Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTaP)
    -Haemophilus Influenzae type b (Hib)
    -Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV)
    -Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV)
 
6 months
     -Hepatitis B (Hep B)
     -Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTaP)
     -Haemophilus Influenzae type b (Hib) (Dependent upon Hib brand used)
     -Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) (One dose between 6-18 months)
     -Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV)
 
12-18 months
     -Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTaP)
     -Haemophilus Influenzae type b
     -Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) (One dose between 6-18 months)
     -Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV)
     -Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccine (MMR)
     -Varicella Zoster (Var)
 
2-5 years
     -Hepatitis A
 
4-6 years
     -Diptheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP)
     -Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV)
     -Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
     -Hepatitis A (Hep A)
     -Hepatitis B (Hep B) (if not already given)
 
7-18 years
     -Tetanus/diphtheria booster (Td)
     -Varicella (if child has not been vaccinated or has not had chickenpox)
     -Hepatitis A (Hep A)

Remember: its best if your child is up to date on their shots, but its never too late for your child to catch up!
