Community Development / Parent-Led Community Action Teams

The Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) assists communities to improve the quality of life and health for children with special health care needs and their families.

One way this is done is through the formation of parent-led community action teams.

These teams bring together families, physicians, teachers, administrators, community leaders and interested citizens to develop a family-focused, comprehensive, home and community based system of care that helps children reach their full potential.

OCSHCN currently partners with 13 Parent-Led Community Action Teams representing numerous communities and/or regions in Arizona.
