Reporting Lead in Blood
Health care providers are required to report blood lead levels to the ADHS. Physicians are required to report elevated blood lead levels, while laboratories are required to report all blood lead test results. The statutory authority for reporting is found at A.R.S. 36-1672. The Arizona reporting rule A.A.C. R9-4-302 provides the reporting requirements.
