Well Water Quality
In Arizona, municipal and public water systems are monitored and regulated by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. You can also contact your water provider for water quality reports. However, if you get your water from a private well, there are some things you need to know.
Arsenic is a naturally occurring metal in soils and groundwater. Arsenic commonly occurs in Arizona at high background levels. Eating foods or drinking water with too much arsenic can cause health problems.
