2013 Video Contest Rules
It’s time to swim!! This year Recreational Water Illness and Injury Prevention Week (RWIIW) will be May 20th – 26th 2013 and ADHS is holding a healthy swimming video contest for children to educate other swimmers about the simple steps everyone can take to ensure a healthy swimming experience this year!
Millions of people swim every year and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) wants to make sure all swimmers stay healthy while they enjoy the water. To help prevent the spread of germs at recreational water venues (such as pools, lakes, and waterparks), ADHS is asking the public to educate swimmers by making a short, creative video that promotes the simple steps everyone can take to ensure a healthy swimming experience.
The video could be a rap, sketch, dance, slide show, or anything you want it to be as long as it is original and appropriate for all audiences and follows the contest guidelines. The top videos will be posted on the Arizona Department of Health YouTube Channel and the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite video. The winning video will be used in a state-wide water safety campaign by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
- Contest begins on May 1, 2013
- Deadline for submissions is midnight on July 1, 2013
- Winning video announced week of July 4, 2013
