¤Other denominator data: 566 cats, 40 coyotes, and 37 raccoons were tested.
*The skunk, cat and fox from Coconino County were infected with the Big Brown Bat variant, the same variant that was responsible for the 2001 outbreak of rabies in skunks in Flagstaff, and the reoccurrence in late 2004.
**Some animals that are submitted are too decomposed for rabies testing, and thus the number of animals tested per county is considered as the denominator.
☼ Both bobcats, the coyote, and the domestic cat from Santa Cruz County were infected with the Arizona gray fox variant.
╬ Raccoon was infected with a variant associated with skunks in south central U.S.Exposures to lab confirmed rabid animals: 29 humans, approximately 99 domestic animals.
