The Arizona Cancer Registry is a population-based
surveillance system that collects, manages and analyzes information
on the incidence, survival and mortality of persons having been
diagnosed with cancer. Arizona Revised
Statute §36-133 mandates the reporting of cancer cases in the
state of Arizona. Reporting rules (Arizona
Administrative Code Title 9, Chapter 4, pages 179-190) require
hospitals, clinics, and physicians to report cases to the Arizona
Cancer Registry.
