About Active Arizona for Life:
Active Arizona for Life is a statewide multidisciplinary team of public and
private partners that began in 2000. The group was previously called Active
Arizona 2010 to denote its role in the Healthy Arizona 2010 project. In February
2004, Arizona released its
Nutrition and Physical Activity State Plan, which
incorporates and expands upon the
Healthy Arizona 2010 goals. As a result, the NUPA program works with the coalition to coordinate the State Plan activities by
designing, implementing and evaluating statewide nutrition and physical activity
programs and interventions.
