SunWise Skin Cancer Prevention Program
August 2014's Educator Survey winner is Deborah West, RN, Copper Canyon Elementary, Scottsdale.
Educators are encouraged to complete our short educator survey online to be eligible for FREE SunWise classroom beads and frisbees that change color in the sun.
Pre and Post Testing
Groups wishing to participate in pre- and post-testing of educators and/or students prior to and following a school assembly or use of the curriculum should contact Sharon McKenna. A short online survey is provided by ADHS to help schools and organizations to see how sun safety education affects attitudes toward sun safety.
This tool is useful for creating school sun safety policies. Many school districts, summer camps and parks and recreation programs have used the survey to identify specific sun safety needs. Surveys assess student and educator behaviors before and after exposure to sun safety education, are anonymous and confidential. Incentives like sunburn able beads are provided to groups participating in the anonymous survey.
