Learning to Deliver a Lifesaving Message…..Sensitively

The HealthCare Partnership provides evidence-based, tobacco dependence treatment continuing education, certification, and training programs that are adapted for a variety of communities. Participants who successfully complete the courses are equipped to deliver cessation interventions specific to a tobacco user’s readiness to quit, as recommended by the U.S. Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use And Dependence. The HealthCare Partnership, part of the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at The University of Arizona, brings together experienced professionals to support the development, coordination, management and evaluation of multi-modal educational venues funded by the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Tobacco Education and Prevention and serving all Arizonans as an integral component of Arizona’s tobacco control program.
