The National Weather Service has extended the Excessive Heat Warning for:
Mohave county through October 6.

La Paz, Maricopa, Pinal, and Yuma counties through October 7.
Daytime highs up to 111 degrees Fahrenheit are expected with the potential to cause life-threatening illnesses or even death. Public cooling centers are available in some areas. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.

One of Arizona’s most important resources are the children that live and play in our state. Over 1.1 million children ages 5 to 18 attend publicly-funded schools for an average of 180 days every year. Many of these children spend additional time in clubs, sports, summer school, and other school-sponsored activities.
